Missibaba + Mevrou

Chloe Townsend of Missibaba launches the M+M collection together with Mevrou designer Anna Verloren van Themaat.

Chloe and Anna are designer friends who share a love for handmade things and it was only natural to develop a range together. The range consists of handbags, scarves, cushions and vessels with each product available in Aztec, Arrows or Checkered pattern. Chloe and Anna decided to keep the range bold and graphic using off white and black in the textile, tan leather and dark chocolate cotton for finishing.

Anna developed a felted textile for the products made from 100% hand knitted Merino yarn that then gets felted, giving it a unique and graphic look that cannot be achieved using better known felting techniques. Chloe then transformed the textile into luxury products using her experience as an established handbag designer. She constructed and finished each item with the finest detail using Namibian leather and 100% cotton.
All products are made from 100% Merino wool that has been dyed and spun in Worcester, hand-knitted stitches made in Riverlands, felted in Vredehoek and finally finished in Woodstock using Namibian leather.
